FOUNDER & CEO

Shih-Wei Chou is an award-winning video editor and multimedia journalist with a proven track record of crafting compelling visual stories that resonate with diverse audiences. With expertise in video editing, sound mixing, and motion graphics, he has worked across multiple ranges of formats, including short-form digital content, explainers, documentaries, and human-centered features.

 

Mr. Chou honed his craft at leading organizations such as The Washington Post, where he spearheaded video strategy for the Opinion section, specializing in producing impactful social videos. He previously worked at Voice of America and served as an on-air broadcaster and social media producer at Radio Free Asia (RFA).

 

Mr. Chou’s work has been widely recognized, earning him several prestigious accolades, including being a finalist at the 2022 Society of Publishers in Asia Awards, winning the 2021 David Burke Distinguished Journalism Award, and contributing to RFA’s 2020 National Edward R. Murrow Award.

He graduated in 2016 from the University of Missouri, earning the MA in digital journalism. He was a 2016 White House Correspondents' Association scholar.

 

Fluent in both English and Mandarin, Mr. Chou holds dual citizenships in the U.S. and Taiwan. He is passionate about telling stories that tug heartstrings and finds joy in creating rhythm and musicality through masterful editing.

 

He goes by Wei (WAY).
